Director of Learning Resources

College of the Ouachitas in Malvern, Arkansas, is seeking a talented, visionary Director of Learning Resources. This is a high visibility leadership position working directly with a team of successful-minded educational leaders in a fast-paced environment.

The Director of Learning Resources is responsible for the oversight and daily operations of the library to include:

• Hiring, training, supervising, and scheduling of library personnel
• Preparing and Maintaining the library budget
• Supervising the annual inventory of the library
• Acquisition of library holdings and resources
• Preparing and submitting required reports
• Promoting the use of the library
• Coordinating community education classes
• Performing other duties as assigned

Minimum qualifications for this position include a master’s degree in library or information science from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited institution. A minimum of three years of higher education library experience preferred. 

The salary for this position is commensurate with educational background, training, and experience. Position will remain open until filled. Hiring includes drug testing and background check.
