Construction Technology Instructor

The Ouachita Career Center is seeking quality applicants for the position of Construction Technology instructor in the Secondary Career Center.  This is a 10-month contract position working with students from area high schools.  The ideal candidate will display the ability to instruct 11th and 12th grade students, follow all state and local policies, and complete necessary state reports. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • an Associate degree in Construction Management or a related field and have at least 3 years of work related experience OR
  • a high school diploma or General Education Equivalency with at least five years of work related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of work related experience.
  • industry certifications/credentials in construction trades.

The selected candidate will instruct high school junior and senior students in the areas of carpentry, masonry, electrical, and plumbing. The person filling the position will submit to a drug test as well as a state and FBI fingerprint background check.
